The Haven Field
2.2 acres of stunning semi-wild land complete with trickling stream, ancient trees and abundant meadow. If you are looking for an outdoor space to host your event, come and explore whether the Haven could be right for you.
From its inception, the vision of Oakbrook Community Farm has been to help people to connect to the land and nature. To this end, our Haven field has been created and maintained as a place where everyone can come and retreat from the hussle and bussle of life and be nourished by this healing environment. We have made this space available for private hire as a way to encourage groups to meet here and to provide financial support for the farm.
Perfect for all ages, visitors here can enjoy paddling in the brook and exploring the mini-woodland nestled in the heart of our farm. Stay quiet and witness rare wildlife at home all around you, or simply lay back and listen to the sounds of nature.
Just a stone’s throw from Stroud, the Haven is easily accessible on foot by a gentle 20 minute walk incorporating our nature corridor. Facilities on site are constantly developing and currently include a compost toilet, water stand pipe, picnic benches, a large fire circle and a wet weather shelter with small fire-pit. Haven bookings include a small amount of parking for your guests and free printed maps of the walk to Stroud.
We use income from Haven rental to cover our running costs and to develop infrastructure for the farm to the benefit of the community. True to our mission of making the land accessible, we offer a rate of £12 per hour for community groups, or £18 per hour for private bookings. Friends of the farm also receive a discount on Haven bookings.
