How often do you get the opportunity to look around a working farm? At Oakbrook we have a vision to connect people with the places their food comes from, so we encourage you to visit us whenever you like and witness the growing in action. The entirety of our site is traversed by a public footpath, and we have created an accessible walkway through the nature corridor which runs along our brook. In addition we have set aside === acres of our Haven field as a sanctuary space where you can sit and enjoy being in nature. You are welcome to spend time here whenever it is not reserved for a private booking. Please note that as this is a working farm, there many well be animals and machinery in motion when you visit. We encourage you to take extra care when moving about the site.

Accessing the farm on foot – from Stroud Town Centre

The route to Oakbrook Farm is simple and takes approximately 20 minutes from Vue Cinema in the middle of Stroud. This is the set down location for a number of local bus stations, and is only a further five minutes walk from Stroud Train Station. We have created an interactive map detailing this route, illustrated below. Please feel free to download this map for personal use, or get in touch if you would like a printed copy.

Accessing the farm on foot – from Uplands playground

An alternative route is to follow the footpath into the farm, starting from the Uplands playground. With the playground and the allotments behind you, head East towards the playing field. In the corner of the field is a red dog bin, and as you approach you will see a steep track. At the bottom of the track is a stile – now you’re in Oakbrook Farm! Follow the footpath through the next two fields and you will arrive at the Haven.

Accessing the farm by road

If you need to arrive at the farm by car or bike, simply take the A46 from Stroud and take the turning to the Painswick Old Road. Oakbrook Community Farm is approximately half a mile up the road before Hawkwood College. If coming from further afar you can follow the postcode GL5 5ZX. There is a small amount of parking on the farm.
